This sounds like a good book, too.  Car rides usually end in fun places like the Wiener Dog Races or the dog park!

Edie the Frog Catcher

My tail is wagging wildly as I introduce my first guest blogger, Edie!  Edie is a medium, brown-black-white, fast, friendly pup.  She recently went above and beyond the call of duty in protecting her people from the menace of frogs.  (Not many people realize what a menace frogs are, but trust me, they are a big, sneaky menace!)

I find Edie's heroics especially amazing since I hate getting wet.  I'll let Edie describe her story in her own words...

Edie is justifiably proud of her heroismHi!  I'm Edie, and I'd like to thank Cody for giving me the opportunity to blog about my recent experience.

The day started like any other day.  I was on my regular border patrol, which is especially important because we live on the border of a forest.  A lot of menaces try to come into our area, but I diligently keep them out.

Suddenly, I saw a frog that had somehow penetrated the border.  Normally, I just grab the frog, but this one was a super-frog!  When I went to grab it, it hopped away, and I ended up with a mouthful of grass.

The frog hopped all the way into the cement pond.  Now I was really worried.  The people cubs swim in that pond, and frogs are even more dangerous in water than on land.  I had to act quickly!

I jumped right in the water and started swimming as hard as I could!  I swam, and swam for what seemed like forever, but I caught up to the frog and caught him!

Once again, the border is secure, and the water and land are safe for the people of my pack.

I'm such a good, good dog!
